Students in the sets 1 and 2 will mainly be entered for the Higher Tier, whilst the remainder will probably be entered for Foundation tier. This gives students the best possible chance of gaining their target grade.

AQA Further mathematics Level 2 Linear Examination
1 Non-Calculator Paper (40% of marks): 1 Hour 30 Mins
1 Calculator paper (60% of marks): 2 Hours
This is an IGCSE style Examination intended for those who we are confident will get an A or A* grade at GCSE and intend to study Further Mathematics, Mathematics or Science at AS/A2 Level.

2 Tiers of Entry: As for 1MA0
2 Calculator Papers: 2 Hours
Students from the lower sets may be entered for the certificate if the teacher feels this will maximise their chances of gaining their grade. This is an IGCSE style Examination and counts for the students’ results and for the school tables.
Students should continue to use the Foundation materials in preparation for this exam.
