Sample Maths Lesson with German Students from Berlin Primary School - Germany.
On 24th of June 2014, Thomas Tallis School has invited German students from Berlin Primary school to come and experience teaching in English language in a secondary school in England. The German Students were given a choice to choose a sample lesson from various faculties within Thomas Tallis School. Find above some pictures of Maths lesson with Mrs Zeshan and Mr Robson. The lesson was on how Maths is involved in Football. German students spontaneously got engaged with the starter card matching activity where they have to match the given data (football scores of four different teams) with the representation in bar-chart, pictogram, pie-charts etc. Next they were challenged to find the fraction of different colours within the flags of various countries participating in FIFA World Cup 2014. They also managed to make 3D models of a football by successfully cutting and folding nets of a dodecagon. It was an absolute pleasure for Thomas Tallis School to be host for the German students.
